MAYBELLINE COLOR SHOW: Denim Dash

Pin It Today I have for you guys a newer polish by Maybelline from their Color Show collection! I had been hunting these down since my sister sent me a picture of the display back home, you might of seen me post it on Facebook.

Well! After 3 Walmarts and 2 Walgreens later... I finally found some! Granted they were in a messy pile on the bottom ledge of a shelf ... BUT I found 'em! ANNDD after I typed this whole thing up, I found a display, FINALLY haha. I grabbed 3 more polishes but I'll save those for later because this one deserves a post of its own ;]

I only wanted 2 colors from this collection, this color ( Denim Dash ) and a black with gold glitter/flakes. Unfortunately by the time I got to Wally-World, a good chunk had been picked over... Which is kinda weird because usually no one cares about polish here haha.

I did find Denim Dash! I knew I had to have that one! It's part of the Denim series in this collection. They had another Denim called Styled Out, I didn't grab it because it looked too similar to Sinful Colors Neptune... But the polish hoarder in me wants it haha

So here are a swatch of Denim Dash!

I was super surprised this dried in a satiny-matte finish! But totally surprised in a good way! I actually like this BETTER as a matte polish.

Denim dash is an AWESOME blue, teal color with silver glitter through out. I don't have a blue like it! Similar colors, maybe, but not identical. It's just a gorgeous blue! The formula on this polish was okayyy. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. I did 2 coats to make it opaque. It covered quite nicely but it wasn't as easy to apply the 2nd coat as the 1st, nothing too horrid though!

Of course, I top coated it out of curiosity!

I mean it's not bad shiny, it's just better matte in my opinion! ;] And here they are side by side for comparison:

I love the color!!! The only kicker for me was that the bottle was only .23 oz :[ Had it been more expensive I would of been kinda irked!

I wanted to stamp a bit on it, I like to do that if I only show you guys one swatch ;] I was looking for a pattern, and BAM, my eyes landed on the PERFECT one for a polish with the word denim in it:

 Maybelline Denim Dash, top coat and stamped with Bundle Monster 202 in MAC Immortal Gold

Now it looks like denim :P How perfect, zippers!

You can find Maybelline Color Show polishes at Walmart (and I've heard Walgreens, I have seen a display picture and have heard of people purchasing it there BUT I've never seen it haha). The bottles at Walmart run for under $3!

Have you guys seen these? Pick up any? I also got Tenacious Teal, Sapphire Siren and Twilight Rays.

PS: Is it sad I just realized why they always say "maybe it's Maybelline" in the MAYBElline commercials? After HOOWWWWW many years I've seen those commercials? *sigh*
