NOSTALGIC NAIL LACQUER: Rollin With the Homies & Duckie

Pin It Happy Monday! Welp, I hope your Mondays are going better than mine is haha. Today I have some pretties from Nostalgic Lacquer!

Nostalgic Nail Lacquer Rollin' With the Homies (left), Duckie (right)

I pre-ordered 4 through a wishlist and pretty much squeed with delight when they got here! I'm going to show you Rollin' With the Homies (from her new Clueless collection) and Duckie today!

Did any of y'all watch Clueless when you were younger? I totally did, apparently my husband did too lmao. I forgot what Rollin' With the Homies was from, and he kindly reminded me it's a song? *shrugs* ANYWAYS! It's one of the polishes from Nostalgic Lacquer's Clueless Collection :]  Here are some swatches of Rollin' With the Homies:

Rollin' With the Homies has matte blue and white glitter in a clear base. I did 2 coats over Zoya Pippa, mostly because I'm in love with blue and yellow together haha! I didn't have to dip and dab with this polish, 2 coats = perfect glitter dispersion! I'm an OK fan of matte glitter, I own 2-3, I really like this one though! My husband was like "TRY IT OVER A PEACHY NUDE COLOR!!!!" Hmm.. thinkin' about it, when I get a peachy nude color hahaha

Next is Duckie:

Duckie was one of the Nostalgic Lacquers I've been lusting after for awhile now. I really love the combo of glitter in Duckie! Duckie is a milky green base (not super milky though, more clear than white) with large light green hex, blue/aqua medium hex and smaller gold hex. I must say, I wasn't as impressed with the application of this polish. I had to vigorously stir, dip and dab to get glitter on the nail. The swatch above is over Essie Mint Candy Apple (perfect undies btw!!!) with 3 coats of Duckie. I feel like the mix of glitter was worth the effort but, I don't think I will be wearing it as often as I want to :[

You can find more information about Nostalgic Lacquer on Facebook, here. As far as I know, she isn't selling from her shop right now, just doing wishlists (not sure when the next round is either). Your best bet is to follow her Facebook page and see when they're available :] The polish prices on her site are not updated, her polishes are $9.75/bottle!

I hope to have the other 2 up this week :]

Until tomorrow!
Lacey

  1. 9.75 seems a bit steep compared to other indies, and even though Duckie is a pain I still want it. ^___^
