Again, Thanks to Finger Painting Fingers for forming a great way for the nail polish community to spread awareness of breast cancer! Here are your three facts about breast cancer, remember: you must read them before you read on to the manicure deets ;] October 10th's facts:
1) "Women should have a clinical breast exam at least every 3 years between the ages of 20 and 39 and every year starting at age 40". Komen.org
2) "Most women have more than one known risk factor for breast cancer, yet will never get the disease". Komen.org
3) "More than 1.7 million women who have had breast cancer are still alive in the United States". About.com
I hope you enjoy this manicure as much as I did! I thought it was an awesome depiction of the phrase "fight like a girl". More after the jump!
I don't have a tutorial for you, SORRY! Honestly though, all I did was make blobs of color with my striping brush and form them to look like camouflage. Here's the colors I used for this manicure:
Colors used, left to right: Essie Power Clutch, Revlon Sheer Petal, Zoya Lara, Zoya Sweet.
And here are some more pictures of my manicure!
Hope you enjoyed my "fight like a girl" manicure! :] It was a really fun manicure to do, it's kind of hard to mess up camo! I encourage you to try it, or even just wear some pink polish sometime this month!
Remember, when it comes to breast cancer there's three main things you can do:
Educate yourself, educate others, and donate to improve the education, treatment and research of breast cancer. For more information visit these websites:
I'm not saying donate your first born or a million bucks! Maybe $5? I'm donating some of my precious polish money in the middle of the month! Join me?
