Palmolive Fresh Infusions Review

Pin It I'm wondering how this will blow over lmao

Today I have a review out of the polish AND beauty norm. But, I'm putting this in my blawg because it's something we all can relate to! Chores! More specifically, evil, EVILLLL, dirty dishes. After the jump I have a review of a dish soap by Palmolive from their Fresh Infusions line.
There are 3 things in life I hate:
1) laundry
2) maggots
3) doing the dishes
3) maggots

(yes I have two #3s haha) But the crap has to get done! Sadly, I'm not rich and I have no one to do the dishes for me :[ or the laundry haha. And thankfully, I don't have to deal with maggots or else I'd die.

I was sent to review 3 bottles of the new Palmolive Fresh Infusions by Influenster. I won't lie, I was kind of excited to do the dishes so I could try these out. They sent me 3 different scents: Ginger White Tea, Lemon Thyme, and Lime Basil

Palmolive Fresh Infusions scents are said inspired by nature, fresh scents and simplicity. Besides the lemon and lime, the Ginger White Tea was one scent I don't recall seeing whenever I buy dish soap... and the lemon and lime ones I see usually aren't mixed with herbal scents. I love the smell of fresh herbs, so that was exciting too!

I usually look a lot more pissed off when doing dishes, promise haha.

My favorite was the Ginger White Tea. If you've smelled The Body Shop's Ginger Sparkle line from the holidays, it smells a LOT like that... a spicy, ginger scent without the bakery notes. I didn't smell white tea however, I have no idea what white tea smells like LOL But, I didn't smell any sort of tea?

The Lemon Thyme and Lime Basil were a little bit of a let down. There was a good part about these though! Whenever I see a citrus cleaning product, I assume they all smell that citrus, blah, cleaner smell. You know what I mean? However, these didn't! The lemon smelled more like an actual lemon than a lemon cleaner. I didn't smell any Thyme, which made me a sad panda. The lime was probably my least favorite. It didn't smell like citrus cleaner... but more like lime jello lmao. I didn't smell any basil either :[ which made me sad because it's one of my favorite cooking herbs.

As for cleaning power, it seemed to clean just as good as any dish soap did haha I usually use Dawn, Gain or some store brand. I washed "fresh", just used dishes and dishes that sat around for a... awhile haha and I didn't notice anything phenomenal. It didn't do anything special for my hands either. Although it's not supposed do, there is no moisturizing agent in the ingredients:

Ingredient (INCI name) Purpose
Water Consistency
Ammonium C12-15 Pareth Sulfate Cleaning and Foaming Agent
SD Alchool 3-A Controls Thickness and Clarity
Lauramidopropylamine Oxide Cleanind and Foaming Agent
Sodium Chloride Controls Thickness
Magnesium Sulfate Controls Thickness
Poloxamer 124 Controls Thickness
Fragrance Pleasant Scent
Pentasodium Pentatate Maintains Product Stability
Preservative Preservation
Sodium Bisulfite Maintains Product Stability
Dyes Color

Blah blah blah. Also a note, this is a super concentrated dish soap, so you don't need a TON to do the job. Or you can be like me and pour a crapton of dish soap on everything because you hate dishes and clearly want to buy more dish soap haha

If you're looking for a dish soap and you're super focused on the scent, I'd say these are the products for you! They do smell really nice in comparison to other dish soaps. Other than that, I don't find anything special about them - Sorry, Palmolive!

You can find Palmolive Fresh Infusions at Walmart or Target (currently) at $2.99 for a 16 oz bottle. The link I provided also has a product finder if you'd like to check before you make the trip! Also check out the Palmolive Fresh Infusions Influenster page for more reviews!

Hope you enjoyed the soap! Haha

Happy Saturday-ing!

  1. Ha! Love this post, who knew reading about dish soap could actually be entertaining. For me, scent is pretty important, concentration not so much...I use waaay tooo much soap, not sure why but maybe it is because I detest dirty dishes. I may try this at some point, just one question...How rough is it on your hands? Since my polish hobby has grown to an obsession, I look for soap that says it's "good" for our hands. Right now I'm using Dawn w/ Olay Hand Renewal. I don't have anything else to compare it to at the moment, but I think it's easier on my hands? lol

    1. Hahaha I'm glad it was entertaining! I was struggling with not making it super dry. I don't feel like I'm the right person to comment on how this does on hands. I have Eczema and my hands are the driest part of my body haha. Any dish soap dries them out, even the Olay hand renewal. I noticed on some of the reviews on the Influenster page says it was nice on hands. You might want to check those reviews out! I left the link in the post ;)

  2. OMG I hate doing dishes, too!! *dies* I always wear gloves because I make the water super hot (to punish the dishes :p) so I don't waste my money on mosturizing soap anyways. Always looking for nice scents, though. I'll have to keep my eyes open for these.
