Hey guys! A little late but never late than never? I keep waking up super late for some reason... and then falling BACK asleep! Ugh. AND that's why I didn't post yesterday :[ So, TODAYYY I have 3 Sugar Coat polishes by Sally Hansen. I've seen these in store but I never picked up any to try, and now I have them to review! I've tried the Milani creme textured polish and I wasn't a fan, so lets see what I think of these! :P

These close up shots kinda suck lmao. It was hard to pickup any of the "texture particles" in the polishes besides the purple.

This is an awesome red color, bright and juicayyyyyy! If it wasn't textured I'd still like it for its color hahaha. I didn't feel like the texture in this one wasn't as textured as the others. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's just the color that makes it look less textured.

I did 2 coats of Cherry Pop. The application was smooth and gave me no issues. I did wait a little between coats, from learning experiences with other textured polishes, but it dries faster than any other textured polish I've used!

I really like this pale yellow color, China Glaze Lemon Fizz is one of my all time favorites! Just... I can't do this color texturized. Does it remind anyone else of mushed up hard boiled egg yoke? :X The Milani one reminds me of those bright yellow Bumpy Nerd candies and... this one is just... I can't haha.

I did 2 coats of Sweetie. No issues though. For a light yellow creme it dried pretty quickly and the application was smooth and easy to work with.

Last but not least is Grape XXXX. Totally reminds me of fizzy grape soda! Just like the red, this purple is a great color! Also seemed a bit more textured than the red, or I'm crazy haha

I did 2 coats of Grape XXX. I thought it was good to go in 2 coats, but after looking at these swatch pictures I can see it needed 3. I didn't see balding IRL, but again I'm crazy lol. Application was again smooth and dry time gave me no hassle between coats.

Overall I'm okay with these creme textured polishes. I'm still on the fence how I feel about them, but I'm not hating them. I enjoy the sparkly, glitter texture polishes more... but I do like the Sally Hansen creme polishes over the Milani cremes. The Milani polishes, to me, looked too thick on the nail.

  1. I actually like the line quite a bit. I have the navy one, and it looks phenomenal in person. Hard to photograph, as it picks up every glint of light in photos and looks far less matte in photos than in person, but I found the texture to be perfect. If I didn't already have two OPI sands and the Julie G Gumdrops line, I'd probably pick up more of these. I bet the white one is really good.

  2. These look nice on you, textures always look off on me but I enjoy the swatches! I really love the red.
