Zoya Fall 2013 PixieDust Collection

HIHIHIHIHIHIHI! I'm in a rush today :-\ but I really wanted to share these new Zoya Fall PixieDust polishes with you! I think this is my favorite PixieDust collection out of the 3 they have released. I have swatch and review of the entire collection after the jump!

Aren't those colors DIVINE?!

Zoya Arabella

This is Arabella! What a pretty name haha. Arabella is a "rich fuchsia pink". The color kind of reminds me of raspberries, or berry anything in general lol. I did 2 coats of Arabella, application was great and dry time was no issue.

Zoya Dhara

I honestly didn't think I would like this orange, but it's so rich and vibrant, it's really hard not to like it. Dhara is described as a 'firey orange copper". You can definitly see the copper glow it to it on my macro shot. I did 2 coats of Dahara. Again, no application or dry time issues.

Zoya Pixie Dust comparison: Destiny (L), Dhara (M), Beatrix (R)

I was talking to someone on Instagram when I posted when I got this collection. We were both worried about the possibility of Dhara being too similar to some of the orange colors in the Summer PixieDust Collection. I figured others would be intersted and I swatched up a comparison. Left is Destiny, middle is Dhara, and right is Beatrix. Safe to say they aren't alike, except for maybe the copper-metallicy flash similarities in Destiny and Dhara. This would make for one awesome ombre mani :P

Zoya Tomoko

I'm still on the fence about this color, I just don't think gold and silver type colors look good on me sadly :-\ Anyways, Tomoko is a "romantic champagne silver". You know I was having a hard time thinking of how to describe this color, and champagne is perfect, thanks Zoya haha! I did 2 coats of Tomoko. The application and dry time was the same as the polishes above, no issues to report.

Zoya Chita

I was waiting for Zoya to come out with an awesome PixieDust in green, and this one is awesome to say the least. Chita is described as a "forest green". Forest green is one of my favorite polish shades, I just feel it's a very elegant, romantic color haha. I did - get this - ONE COAT of Chita. Application seemed a tad thicker than the other polishes in this collection, but not unmanageable at all whatsoever. Dry time was also just as good as the others. One coat *dies and goes to heaven*.

Zoya Sunshine

This color is awesome. I think this is my favorite one out of all of them. Zoya describes Sunshine (I find that an odd name for a blue hahah whatever) as a "'Van Gogh' navy blue". I don't know what the Van Gogh reference is lol, but it does remind me of the sky in Starry Night by Van Gogh. But anyways, yes! Brilliant shade of navy blue for a textured polish. No issues in application or dry time with this one either :]

Zoya Carter

I find this one to be the most awesome looking and most unique in this set. Zoya describes Carter as a "royal purple". The color is phenomenal I like how some of the textured/glitter really pops against the color of the polish. We can also add this color to the list of Colors that Lacey Finds Elegant haha. So pretty. I did 2 coats of Carter. No issues with this one, and dry time was great.

Zoya Fall PixieDust Collection

Well there you have it, folks, the 2013 Fall PixieDust Collection. Again, one of my favorites out of all the PixieDust collections. If I had to choose 3 shades (in order) I'd choose: Carter, Sunshine, and Chita. :]

When using the PixieDust polishes, it's important to keep the following in mind: "PixieDust Application Information -  Do not use a base coat or top coat. Apply 1-3 (for full coverage) thin coats of polish. Allow product to dry down completely matte in between layers for full textured effect. The PixieDust textured formula may take up to 10 minutes to dry completely matte. Once dry, the textured finish is long lasting, matte and ultra-glittery!"

Have a great day!

  2. Sunshine is my favorite! Leslie on workplaypolish.com has the lowdown on why the blue is named Sunshine: it's named for a nail artist who created a navy PixieDust by layering three previously released PixieDust polishes!
