Forget Me Not Friday- STARRILY: The Headless Horseman

Starrily The Headless Horseman

Hey guys! IT'S FRIDAY! YOU MADE IT! YAYYYY! Today I have a super fun polish for this week's edition of Forget Me Not Friday. It's a multichrome with some contrasting glitter swimming in it. It's a Halloween polish, but I say we should have a little more Halloween all year long ;] Check it out below, it's a pretty sweet polish!

Starrily The Headless Horseman is a polish that "shifts from blue/green to violet. Contains matte and holo orange and purple glitters". This shifty polish is super pretty and the contrasting hex glitters make it a lot of fun. It's a little on the sheer side, but you can build it up. I chose to layer it over a darker color to cut down on the whole visible nail line problem I have when my nails are longer. I did have a super hard time getting a lot of the hexes out :[ They really enjoyed sticking to the sides. I even rolled and shaked it a little bit.

This was released as part of a Halloween collection, by the way. I've never tried this brand. But I saw this polish back in October and knew I HAD to have it! It comes with a super cute unicorn head box. I'd show it to you, but Scout (my dog) thought it was a nice snack! At least he's a picky eater and the bottle was unharmed *phew*

I did 2 coats of The Headless Horseman over Pure Ice Party Hard (which is a deep, navy blue).  It really came alive once I layered it over the darker color! It had a nice smooth application and covered nicely. The only issue I had, again, was the glitter enjoying the sides of the bottle.  The dry time was alright. I think next time I might wait a little bit because I smudged it pretty good RIGHT after I finished my swatches.

Forget Me Not Friday - SQUARE HUE: Via Sant' Andrea & LYNNDERELLA: Moo Maid

SquareHue Via Sant' Andreas and Lynnderella Moo Maid

Today's Forget Me Not Friday features 2 polishes! #doublewhammy I have Square Hue Via Sant' Andrea and Lynderella Moo Maid to share with you today. They've been sitting around for awhile, figure I'd let them come hang out with us today!

Square Hue Via Sant' Andrea

Here's Via Sant' Andrea, is like a milk chocolate brown shade in a creme formula. Not diggin' how lobstery it's making me look in this swatch but I do like the shade of brown!  Lookin at my hands right now, they don't look lobsteresque. So I don't even know LOL I digress - pretty brown that I see me pairing with a lot of colors in stamping and nail art.

I did 2 coats of Via Sant Andrea. Application was smooth and easy to work with. Dry time gave me no issues at all.

I won this Lynnderella LE called Moo Maid in a giveaway a few months ago. There's SO MANY types of glitter in here haha I thought I'd hate it to be honest. I'm usually not a fan of those "kitchen sink" type glitters. Buttttt it looked awesome over Via Sant' Andrea, from above. The polish is mostly light turquoise blue glitters with circles, shards, stars, squares, bars, of different colors thrown into the mix.

I did 2 coats of Moo Maid over Square Hue Via Sant' Andrea. Application was easy to work with and had a nice glitter coverage. I did swirl the bottle around a few times to grab some of the larger glitters because they weren't coming out on their own. It happens, I won't hold it against ya Lynnderella haha.

[CLOSED] Lace & Lacquer's 3rd Blogiversary Giveaway! [1/10/15 - 2/1/15]

3 years of blogging and 3 years of having the best readers ever. December 28th 2014 was my 3rd blogiversary! So in order to thank you for 3 crazy years of support, I have put together a little somethin' somethin' for ya! PAAARRRRRTTTYYYYY!

*UNCEUNCEUNCEUNCEUNCEUNCEUNCEUNCEUNCEUNCEUNCEUNCE*
So FIIIRSTTTTTT, Let's check out what the sponsors kindly donated to celebrate!

Zoya: The soon-to-be released Spring 2015 Delight Collection! Zoya nail polishes are hands down my favorite brand.  They wear amazingly well, are great to use in nail art, and the colors are AWESOME! I've been reviewing Zoya since Year 1 of my blog, so having this prize means a lot to me :]

Kiesque: The amazing, more-useful-than-you-think Liquid Palisade. Watermarbling, stamping, gradients? If there's going to be a polish mess, Liquid Palisade is the BEST to help you avoid it!

Beauty Clutch - NAIL BREAKS NO MORE, my fave, Duri Rejuvacoat. I've been using this nail growth system for about 2 years now.  It was the best decision I've ever made. If I am consistent about using it, my nails NEVER break, tear, chip, bend, etc. It's a blessing in a bottle.

In addition to those amazing prize donations,
here are more of my favorites I love that I'm adding to the giveaway!

Zoya Remove+: A brand Big Flipper of the most amazing nail polish remover EVER. You just need to use it and you'll understand my obsession. I buy this by the 32 oz bottles.

Seche Vite Top Coat: My favorite top coat, the only one I use. I know it's not for everyone, that's okay. It's never let me down and is a great staple to your polish kit!

ELF Concealer Brush: My favorite cleanup brush. I've used many brushes, even brushes made for polish clean up, butttt I keep coming back to this brush - no matter how many times I have to buy new ones to replace it haha. #worthit.

Purifiles by Flowery Green Core 100/180 grit file: My personal nail file of choice! I've been using these for the past 2 years and I don't think I'll ever change. I just love it haha.
Fortune Cookie Soap Cuticle Butter: I fell in LOVE with this cuticle butter when I took a trip to the FCS store in Tulsa where my best friend lives. It's SO freakin' moisturizing and the scents are amazing. If you win, you get to choose the scent you'd like and I'll order it up for ya!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PRIZE 1 (US ONLY): Zoya Nail Polish Spring Collection, Zoya Remove +.
PRIZE 2 (US ONLY): Duri Rejuvacoat, Seche Vite Top Coat, FCS Cuticle Butter.
PRIZE 3 (INTERNATIONAL): Liquid Palisade, Purifiles Green Core, ELF Concealer Brush.

To make this open to all my readers I've decided to split the prizes into packages. Sorry I can't offer all the prizes to everyone... but I think you'll love any of these items :] I might be adding more of my favorite things as the giveaway clock ticks down. Who knows! ;] Maybe you should follow me on Facebook to see if I do! BUT FOR NOW - enter below!

**The entry form is long, I know. YOU ONLY have to leave your email and subscribe to my blog. All other entries are optional but will earn you more chances to win! ** The Lace & Lacquers' 3rd Blogiversary Giveaway is open January 10th 2015 until February 1st 11:59 PM PST. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015! Nail Art

New Years nail art

Happy New Years, everyone! I hope everyone had a great night and 2014 :]

This is the mani I did for New Years Eve. It's a bubbly, mixed metallic gradient.
I used Zoya Willa as the base then I used different sized dotting tools to make the "bubbles".
I used different golds, silvers, and one was an iridescent polish!

Have a great day!
