ZOYA: Holiday 2020 Intriguing Collection PART I [Soko, Beverly, Avi, Brett, Isti, & Lottie]

Zoya Holiday 2020 Intriguing Collection
L→R: Soko, Beverly, Avi,
Brett, Isti, and Lottie
The holidays are creeping up on us, y'all! Time for some fun holiday colors and some glitz. Zoya has a new 12 polish collection for the Holiday season called Intriguing. Today I have 6 of those polishes to share with you. Check the swatches out after the jump!

Zoya Soko
Zoya Soko is a bright, "wintery Poinsettia red cream". I did 2 coats of Soko. This polish has a thinner and easy to work with formula, but it's also opaque at the same time.

Swatch comparison L→R:
Zoya Livingston, Soko, Sooki, Soko

And for a few comparisons... I swatched Soko along with Zoya Livingston (pointer finger) and Sooki (ring finger). The differences between these 3 polishes are very small. Livingston is a touch darker and I feel like Sooki is a touch more vibrant. I thought I had Zoya America to compare, but I couldn't find it in my stash. Safe to say if you have Livingston, Sooki, or any similar reds, you don't really need Soko... unless you like to collect them all, then I understand haha.

Zoya Beverly
Zoya describes Beverly as a "dark purple-toned red cream". I've seen a few swatches of this polish and for other people it comes across much darker than it looks on me. I just swatched it to make sure I wasn't seeing things and nope, this is exactly how it looks 🤷🏼‍♀️ Either way, I like this color a lot! I did 2 coats of Beverly.

Zoya Avi
Avi is a "smoky greige cream with a hint of red-brown". Again, another polish that reads lighter on me than some swatches... I think I just use brighter and cooler bulbs. I wrote in my notes "dusty dark lavender". Great, classic Zoya, cream formula. I did 2 coats.

Zoya Brett
Brett is a "deep charcoal indigo cream". An unexpected but very pretty shade of blue for this collection! I did 2 coats of Brett.

Zoya PixieDust Isti
Zoya PixieDust Isti
Isti is the solo PixieDust polish in the Intriguing Collection and is described as: "wintery steel blue, textured PixieDust with a pop of brilliant royal blue for added vibrancy". Very sparkly and wintery! Would make a great accent nail for a wintertime manicure. I did 3 coats of Isti.

Zoya Lottie
Zoya Lottie
Last but not least is Lottie, a "soft champagne pearl with a hint of glistening shimmer blended in". Very shimmery with some subtle green to pink iridescent glassfleck floating about. It has a nice soft, golden pearl effect. I did 3 coats of Lottie. Lottie is semisheer, Zoya rates it a 3 on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being sheer, 5 being opaque). I swatched it over some of the cream polishes from above...

Zoya Lottie over L→R:
 Soko, Beverly, Avi, and Brett
While Lottie takes 3 coats to layer to opacity, and seems like it's on the sheerer side on the first coat... it's not really the best for layering over another polish.

As you can see above, it's a little uneven and streaky. It didn't look half bad over Brett and Avi, giving those two a frosty finish. But it looked really uneven and blotchy over Beverly and Soko. If you're going to use Lottie to layer, it'll take a lot of patience to get it even in just 1 coat. Using 2 would be a little too opaque to layer over a color.

I don't think I have a favorite out of these 6. I liked them all and they each brought something different to the table and would be fun to use for winter themed manicures. I preferred the 4 cream polishes over the glitter and shimmer polishes though. I'll have Part II up in a few days!
