Zoya Fall 2018 Element Collection

Are you ready for Fall 2018? Ready or not, Zoya is diving in head first with the 12 polish Element Collection, released yesterday. Today I'm swatching 6 of the 12 polishes: reds, mauves, and pink. Check them out after the jump!

| Zoya Alyssa |
Alyssa is a "
red-toned purple cranberry cream". Very pretty, borderline vampy red. Perfect color to welcome cooler weather, sweaters, and pumpkins! I did 3 coats of Alyssa. It's a pretty opaque formula, however I needed a 3rd coat to make it even.

Kendra is a "beautiful full-coverage marsala cream". I feel this leans more toward the purpley side of marsala rather than your typical reddish brown marsal. I did 2 coats of Kendra, classic opaque Zoya cream polish formula with a great dry time.

Maryann is a "pink-toned rose with soft glowing shimmer". Metallic mauve is the first thing that comes to mind when I see this polish. I think it gives off a really unique but still classic look. Great polish to wear year-round. This swatch was 3 coats of Maryann.

Ruthie is a mauve, "raspberry rose cream". I feel like we've seen a Zoya similar to this before in a neutrals collection, but I can't find/pinpoint which polish haha. Nice neutral polish that I can see flattering many skin tones. This swatch is 2 coats of Ruthie.

Jenna is a "
dusty rose pink cream with blue undertones". A muted rose colored cream, always pretty and always a classic! This is 2 coats of Jenna. I feel like it could be a one coat polish, however with the ridges in my nails I needed 2 coats.

Rumor is a "mauve taupe with a subtle shimmer". This polish gives off a soft, pearly look. This polish can be a little finicky with the brush strokes if you're not expecting them. If you're mindful of that during application, you'll get a smooth pearly finish. Rumor isn't for me, just not a fan of the color and finish combo. I did 2 coats of Rumor, nice smooth application and dry time.
This half of the collection was slightly disappointing... to be 100% honest. I didn't expect these more neutral colors for a Fall collection. I am appreciative that these colors are flexible, allowing you to wear them year-round but it is a letdown. I was SOOOOO hopeful for an awesome punch of color after seeing the
Fall/Winter Pantone colors. *sigh*
How do you feel about these colors? If you like pinks I can see how you'd love this. If it's not your cup of tea, hopefully Part II (posting soon) will be more of your style. :]
