A few months ago I was asked to participate in a photoshoot collaboration with Alexandra Marie Photography and makeup artist, Hannah Lebron. Our model was the beautiful Jenn (along with her dear Husband, of course!) from the blog The Overwhelmed Bride. I've never done anything like this in my life, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity! One quick nail art idea done on my thumb nail only, I knew I had the perfect turquoise inspired boho nails for the shoot. Check out more pictures of Jenn's nails along with a tutorial on how to recreate the boho turquoise nails I did on her!

How gorgeous of a couple are they?! And THAT dress! AND THOSE FLOWERS! Wait, pause- AND THAT FREAKIN' MANIIIIIII!?! ;]

Turquoise inspired boho chic nail art

I knew the look I wanted and I knew exactly what I needed to recreate the look of a pretty, turquoise stone inspired boho chic mani in my head. Once I had the stamping plate I need to make magic, I did it quick on my thumb and it was PERFECTION! Best part? Its easy as hell to recreate. So lets get started!

Boho Chic Turquoise nail supplies

These are the supplies you need, or something similar:
- Top Coat
- Orly Pretty Ugly
- Color Club Disco Nap
- Sinful Colors Snow Me White
- Stamper and scraper (gift card)
- Fan Brush
- Clean up brush
- Cheeky Beauty Jumbo Nail Art Image Plate D

Cheeky Beauty Jumbo Nail Art Image Plate D stamp

This is the stamp you will need for this nail art design. It's from the Cheeky Beauty Jumbo Image Plate D plate. It's the kinda veiny design, 2nd from the left.

Here are the steps:

STEP 1: Paint your nails with Orly Pretty Ugly. I did 2 coats, it doesn't have to
be perfect. Top coat it with a fast drying top coat so if the stamp messes up
you can just wipe it off and stamp again :]
STEP 2: Use the stamp from Cheeky Beauty Jumbo Image Plate D (above).
Stamp it in different directions and different parts of the stamp to get a
less uniform look.
STEP 3: Add a thin coat of Orly Pretty Ugly over the stamped design from above.
Be careful not to smear the stamped design, try not to go over the same area twice.
STEP 4: Made a small puddle of the gold polish on some paper/plate and then dip
the fan brush in it. Lightly tap the gold polish onto your nail in random spots. Use
different sides of the brush to create a less uniform, random placed look!
STEP 5: Top coat, let dry, and show off that mani! Told you turquoise
inspired boho chic nails were super easy to do :]

And there you have it! Wasn't too hard was it? I hope you enjoyed the turquoise inspired boho chic mani I created for the photoshoot :] I'd love to see you recreate this look, tag me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram so I can see!
