YOU POLISH: April Subscription Box Review (Seaworthy, Pomegranate Ice, & Painting the Roses Red)

You Polish April Polish Subscription Box

You Polish sent me her April Subscription Box to review! If you haven't heard, she is getting into doing monthly polish subscription boxes like Julep, SquareHue, ect. Here's what you can find in You Polish's monthly boxes for $16.99 (includes shipping):

1 Full Sized Special Monthly Custom (not sold in her Etsy store, only in the box!)
1 Full Sized Stock Polish (past or current collection polish)
1 or more "extras" (hair ties, candy, lotion, cuticle oil, polish, supplies, coupons, ect)

My April box looks a little different because I swatch all polishes she makes and these colors are all new for this month and this box. However, the above descriptions are what you will find in your box each month! After the jump I have swatch and review of all the items above :]

Here are the macro shots. For the top 4 left is indoors and right is outdoors:

DO YOU SEE THAT?! A MINT HOLO. I don't know about ya'll, I haven't seen many of those... like the number of times I've seen a unicorn in real life, that's how many times.

The extra in my box was a candle tart:

You Polish Monthly Subscription Box Extra: Starlit Candles Tart
Isn't the iridescent glitter so perty!? The candle tart is made by Starlit Candles and the scent I recieved was Green Tea Mango. This tart is made to go into a warmer, like a Scentsy warmer. SADLY, my Scentsy warmer's dish/top thingie broke in our last move so I can't melt it D; BUT, it does smell nice :] I really like the idea of possibly receiving an item that isn't polish related!

On to the polishes I was sent for review:

While not super linear, Seaworthy is a mint holographic polish. I even found the color to be pretty indoors, which of course made me super happy when I stepped into the sun. I did 3 coats of Seaworthy, no undies. It had a nice, smooth application. I didn't have any issues with this polish or it's dry time. I am noticing that where my nail starts to curve, there's slight balding. I might layer this over white or mint next time because doing 4 coats of any polish eats at my soul.

While I'm not a pink polish person, I really do enjoy this color! It's so deep and pretty, it even shines indoors! The holographic finish when you step outdoors is just an extra, I think. Again, not a super linear holographic but still pretty. I did 2 coats of Pomegranate Ice, it was more opaque than Seaworthy. Smooth application, no issues, and a good dry time.

Hold the phone, can we all appreciate how amazingly awesome Painting the Roses Red looks over black? It's like an instant galaxy. SHO PRWETTY! Painting the Roses Red is a clear base with duochrome shimmer that shifts from blue to purple, and various sizes of teal and hot pink glitter. I did 2 coats over both a black polish and Pomegranate Ice, from above. Smooth application, great glitter coverage, great dry time. Good to go!

I have no complaints about any of these polishes, they were all pretty awesome. If you're looking for more information about these subscription boxes by You Polish, I suggest liking You Polish's Facebook page for information, updates, and availability.
