[CLOSED] GLADE EXPRESSIONS: Oil Diffuser and Fragrance Mist (PLUS GIVEAWAY!)

Pin It I hope you enjoyed the review of dish soap last week, a little different huh? I guess that's just what happens when you claim "homemaker" lmfao. Well today, I have more household products to review:

A few products from Glade and BzzAgent to review! More specifically, the Glade Expressions Oil Diffuser and Fragrance Mist. I don't know about you guys, but I love smell good stuff... especially affordable smell good stuff haha (more money for polish mwahahah)
First up, here's the Glade Expressions Oil Diffuser:

I really like how easy Glade makes this. If you've used other oil diffusers (specifically the ones with the reeds/sticks) it can be messy and sometimes it just doesn't look cute. I've never used an electric oil diffuser, mostly because I'm just not a fan of electric scent products, so I can't compare it to this.

All you have to do is remove the sides of the holder and snap this into place! Super simple, Lacey likes simple. Also, if you accidentally knock this oil diffuser over... the oil won't spill and get all up in your biznits!

Another good thing is that the scent [claims to] last up to 30 days, which if you often use the plug in products... you know you're lucky if you get 30 days out of a scent bulb lol. I haven't allowed 30 days for it to sit, but the last 2 days it's been kickin'!

I placed mine in my bedroom. It doesn't look half bad as a "decor" item. Although if I saw it in someone's house all on display, and no clue what this product is, I'd be like "uhhhh, what is that?" haha. But in my eyes, I wouldn't mind having this out and about. It also comes in white with a black base.

Sadly, my 2 Walmarts only had the Pineapple Mangosteen (bamboo colored) to choose from. I did see the Lavender Juniper Berry and Fuji Apple Cardamom Spice starter sets at Target though. I sniffed around at the refills and starter sets and this is what I think of the scents -
Pineapple and Mangosteen: In the package - very pineapple-y and fruity. After sitting out - it smelled like a fruit roll up...
Lavender and Juniper Berry: In the package - usually I'm not a fan of lavender but this one was my favorite of the 3 offered. To me it smelled floral and herb-y. I feel it was the most natural smelling one.
Fuji Apple and Cardamom Spice: In the package - I couldn't get past the fake apple smell. I honestly can't describe this besides a nasty fake apple smell haha. Hopefully it smells nicer out?

Like I said, I originally stuck it in the bedroom. After a few hours the scent was kind of strong for the area... so, I stuck it in the bathroom attached to my bedroom and left the door open. That was the perfect amount of smell for my bedroom. I recommend if you use this product, it's probably better suited in a more open area like a living room.

I accidentally bought the refill of Lavender Juniper Berry because I didn't know it wasn't a starter set, dumb I know haha. I can't wait to use the refill though! The refill comes with a bottle of oil and a new diffuser. You just take out the old bottle and diffuser and replace it with the new! If you're wondering, when you buy the starter set the oil bottle is already in the base for you.

Overall this is a good product, I do like it! If I had to choose between a strong scent throw over none, I'd take strong any day! I can find ways to fix a strong throw. I do like the look of it, it's a lot more appealing than the white plastic gel refill items I've previously bought. The only thing is that I wish they had more scents to choose from, hopefully they will in the future.

Next is the Fragrance Mist

I'm always down for fragrance mists! Our apartment doesn't have any ceiling fans (worst thing EVER), so we often sleep with the bedroom window open to add some circulation. The bad part about that is whatever smells are outside, end up inside. How I deal with this is keeping a spray in our room to kill the smells when I close the window for the day.

I picked up 2 of the limited edition smells, Vibrant Bloom and Starlit Evening, I'm a big fan of fresh floral smells and these 2 hit the spot.

They also have the Pineapple Mangosteen, Lavender Juniper Berry and Fuji Apple Cardamom Spice, the same scents the oil diffusers come in which is nice if you dislike mixing scents. In addition to those two, they have a Cotton Italian Mandarin scent that is in their permanent line, why this isn't in the oil diffuser version is beyond me. In addition there are 2 others scents (I didn't see these in the store and I'm not sure if they're LE, I'd like to smell them though!) Garden Sunshine and Spring Showers.

I think the biggest selling point of the Glade Expressions Fragrance Mist is that the label is removable, making it more appealing to display in the home so you can use it more often without hiding it. I don't know about you, but I'd much rather have the white label free spray in my bedroom (which I usually keep behind the fan) instead of some bright colored label version.

Apprently this is a lot like the oil diffuser, you keep the display base and replace the scent. They make it look easy too, unscrew the bottom and replace it with a refill can. Well, this would be nice except I didn't see refills at Target OR Walmart. Bummer. At least the "starter kit" isn't terribly expensive on it's own, this was only $2.50 at Walmart.

They claim on my coupon booklet that it's "the world's most perfect spray" LOL, that's quite a bold claim! Like I said, I spray this in my bedroom in the morning, I usually spray it to cover "outdoor" smells. I spray it and close the door and pray my bedroom smells more pleasing. I'm not sure entirely how long the smell lingers BUT after spraying it and coming back 30 mins later, I can still smell it. That's pretty good for a spray! I'll have to keep using it to see if it lives up to being the WORLD'S most perfect hahahahaha.

If you'd like more information on both these products, visit Glade's website or their Facebook.
