BORN PRETTY STORE: Neon Round Studs (Purple)

HAPPY FREAKIN' FRIDAY! Today I'm reviewing some neon nail art studs from Born Pretty Store! I thought these were pretty cool since they weren't, y'know, gold, silver, or black. They offer these in 11 different colors and in round or square shapes. I was sent the purple round studs to review today :] Check it out after the jump.

I haven't quite decided if this is a "fail" yet haha. I had the idea one night in bed to make a gradient type manicure using studs. BTW I should of picked less Barney the Dinosaur colors... hahahahhah

I'm just not sure hahaha I think it looks more appealing on the computer versus on my own, real life hands, but I just can't decide how I feel about it. UGHHHHHH

Anyways, I used LVX Viridian as a base color for my mani. Not sure if it's everyone, but this one stained the crapola out of my nails. If you follow me on IG, you saw lol. Yes, I used a base coat... and to get rid of the stains I buffed the stains out because AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FO DAT. Srsly. haha

The studs are metal with purple "paint" on them. If you can see on my middle finger near the cuticle, I accidentally nicked one while applying it and the paint came off :-\ Oops! I don't think that's a bad thing though, because on the bright side, after you remove them you have some silver studs you can use lmao :P

I applied them using Seche Vite. They laid pretty flat on the nail surface, a little raised but really not too bad. I applied 1 coat of Seche Vite because I was in a hurry that day, but I think a 2nd coat would of been better. I also think nail glue would be more qualified for this job haha mine was dried out. :( I lost a lot of the studs on the top half of my nail on the first day, which was to be expected. I think it would of lasted longer after the 2nd coat of Seche. Live and learn!

I don't have any issues with these. Like all studs, I feel if they're not "properly" applied to last longer than a few hours... it's user error, not the studs fault. I've only used metal studs about 3 times so I'm still learning how to make them last longer and how to apply properly. Most of the time I know what I've done wrong lmao I'm just too lazy to change it xD

If you're interested in picking up some of these studs you can get a 10% discount by using my code :] They always have free shipping. It takes awhile to receive the items, but they're a great deal and you will receive them in time.

I feel like I should sing the Barney Goodbye Song after this hahah...
