Hey guys! Today I have part I of the Pure Ice New Year, New Hue. This half of the collection is filled with some interesting polishes and toppers. I'm kinda excited for this collection, so let me share it with you after the jump!

Pure Ice Dollface
Pure Ice Dollface

Dollface is "a soft crème peach". I'm not 110% sure that peachy shades work for me. As much as I want them to work for my skin, the lobster fingers throws me back to reality haha. (Or my husband said the color reminded him of old ladies... WUT?!) Anyways - if you're looking for a great creme peach - this is GREAT. It's creamy and has awesome coverage.

I did 2 coats of Dollface. It had a smooth, flawless application that was great to work with. I had no issues with dry time. I was impressed and really liked the formula.

Pure Ice Flawless

Flawless is "a frosted light gold with a metallic finish". Flawless is kind of a bold name for such a streaky polish! :X I loved the shade of gold, but the streaks were such a turn off. (I've heard of this sponging technique to rid the streaks, maybe I'll try that one day?) Maybe it'll be better for accents VS an actual full mani.

I did 3 coats of Flawless.  It was a little on the sheer side, but built up nicely with 3 coats. I would wait between coats because I smudged it pretty bad right after taking pictures. Live and learn!

I think this is my favorite! Poppin Bottles is "silver pearl with silver hex glitter and a gold iridescent finish" topper. I thought about layering it alone but as you can see that would take quiiiiiite a few coats. Anyways, how gorgeous is this!?  Such beautiful gold iridescence! #inlove

I did (thicker) coat of Poppin Bottles over Pure Ice Taupe Drawer.  I used a thicker coat because 1 was a little too thin for me. It was super easy to distribute on the nail, smooth application. No issues with dry time even though I like slopped it on LOL!

Here's a classic, indie lookin' topper! What's the Splatter is glitter topper with a "clear [base] with white and black hex glitter". Although I think this topper is a little late to the party LOL, I still really enjoy it. I forgot how much I enjoy black and white glitter toppers! It has 3 different sizes of hex from a medium to a tiny size.

I did 2 coats of What's the Splatter over Pure Ice Touch Me Softly. It was a little base-y for me, the glitter was sparse, but 2 coats fixed the empty spaces. :) No issues to report with dry time. If you're looking for a cheap and easy black and white topper, I think you should scout this one out!

Last but not leasttttttttt, Pure Ice introduced a top coat with this collection called Frost Matte Top Coat.  Ever since Hard Candy discontinued their matte topper, I've been on the hunt for a cheaper alternative. I've tried a few but I've been unimpressed.... Well ladies and gents - I'm allllll on board with this $2 Pure Ice matte top coat! Great application and had an awesome dry time. If you're like me and you like trying new matte top coats, or you're just in the market for one less than $7+ - give this a shot! On all the swatches above, I only did 1 coat of Frost Matte Top Coat over each mani.

  3. I like Pure Ice polishes. There's a ton of variety and they are cheap. I like the look you created with Poppin Bottles. Maybe I'll pick up a bottle.

  4. It's a shame Flawless was not so flawless...Zoya Severine is similar but the formula is way better!
