HI GUYS! Hope ya'll are having a great week :] Today I have the lastest Wet n Wild Megalast Collection to share with you, Silver Lake. I skipped last Spring's Megalast collection, but this year I decided these were worthy of money because they weren't pearly and frosty like those LOL. Let's get started with these!

Wet n Wild Megalast Stream of Consciousness

First up is a color that I feel every brand has and I have enough of LOL. This is a super soft, pink sheer polish with some silver and gold shimmer. This was the first polish I swatched and I was sad, I thought it was going to be a more opaque creme finish. *sigh* Lacey <- Can't always get what she wants haha. It's a great polish if you just want something soft but not a nude.

I did 4 coats of Stream of Concioiusness, which is over my personal 3 coat limit haha. *sigh* I do enjoy how soft this polish is, but I still wish it was a creme and less sheer! Dry time was alright, nothing impressive.

Wet n Wild Megalast Warm Filter

My senior year of high school I had a shirt from JCPenny that was this bright, pinky shade of coral and I was OBSESSSSSSSSED with it. So, naturally I'm obsessed with this color. Here's the creme polish I was lookin' for in the last polish. This is a little brighter in real life, my camera hate it haha.

I did 3 coats of Warm Filter. No complaints about the application, worked out nicely and was easy to build up. 3rd coat was necessary due to some balding, but I might be able to prevent it in the future. Dry time was alright, not what I'm used to with other collections *sigh*

Wet n Wild Megalast Tree Hugger
Wet n Wild Megalast Tree Hugger

Tree Hugger is a soft, dusty, minty green creme. #AMAZEBALLS So prettyyyy. Change of pace from the pistachio cremes I've been obsessed with. My second favorite in this collection, for sure.

I did 3 coats of Tree Hugger. Application was nice, the 3rd coat was needed for a little baldness. No issues to report though. Alright dry time again, not horrible not amazing.

Next up is Wear Skinny Jeans - thanks Stephanie for this one!! This is a soft, periwinkle blue with super subtle shimmer. I thought this one had the most apparent shimmer in the bottle, but the least apparent on the nail haha. This would of been a favorite if there was some awesome shimmer!

I did 3 coats of Wear Skinny Jeans. It had a nice application, easy to work with and no issues. Dry time was better than the previous polishes. I can't complain with this one. If the shimmer showed up, I'd totally replace a similar Essie I own.

Wet n Wild Megalast Wear Reject the Mainstream

This is a gorgeous color, Reject the Mainstream is a dusty light purple creme polish. While this color is nothing new in my collection but I still really like it. I feel like this shade of purple looks great on me.

I did 2 coats (FINALLY A 2-COATER) of Reject the Mainstream. I didn't have any issues with this application, easy peasy. Obviously, this and the polish below are the most opaque in the collection - so this formula wins in my book haha. Happy with the dry time, can't complain.

Wet n Wild Megalast A Latte Love
Wet n Wild Megalast A Latte Love

A Latte Love (LOVING the name) is a light taupe creme polish. Sorry Wet n Wild, I'm over these neutral shades haha If you gave it to me in November I'd be in in love. Nonetheless - it's a nice, opaque, creme palate cleanser - with an adorable name.

I did 2 coats of A Latte Love. Another 2-coater that is quite opaque, happy with this formula! Application was great and I can't complain about the dry time, thankfully haha.

Price: $1.99 (At Walgreens)

Just a side note: I'm not sure what the hell was going on with these polishes. I buy these LE collections most Summers and Falls and things are usually amazing. I always enjoy the Megalast line, even the brushes (I know a lot of people think they're too big). HOWEVER - I feel like all but 2 polishes had frayed out brushes with parts sticking out or were uneven. It made it hard to even out because there would be a rando bristle messing things up -.- *sigh*

Happy with this Spring collection versus last year's collection. Loving Warm Filter and Tree Hugger, must haves in my opinion. Can't wait to see what LE colors they have for SUMMER! What do ya'll think of this collection? Have you picked any up - which is your fave?

Happy polishing!
I bought this myself. Is that good enough for you, Federal Trade Commission?

  1. I haven't seen this collection at any Walgreens by me yet, but definitely gonna grab Tree Hugger and A Latte Love when I do. And for the price, might as well get Skinny Jeans and Reject the Mainstream too :o)
