Influenster Sunkissed VoxBox

Today I'm reviewing the Influenster Sunkissed VoxBox! I got great response from the last box I posted, found here, so I can't wait to share this one with you guys! There's a lot of fun products in this box.

Let's dive in, shall we? :D

First up we have Dr. Scholl's For Her High Heel insoles:

Dr. Scholl's For Her High Heel insoles in muh sandals ~ $8.00
Dr. Scholl's For Her High Heel insoles ~ $8.00
Dr. Scholl's For Her High Heel insoles in muh sandals ~ $8.00
Dr. Scholl's For Her High Heel insoles in muh sandals ~ $8.00

Okay, here's my issue with these... I don't wear heels because:
1) my husband is about an inch taller than me, so I feel awkward wearing heels and
2) I'd break my neck.

Lmao SOOOOO Since the package said sandals, I stuck them in a pair I had been wearing.

I really like how sticky the back is. This insole isn't planning on moving or going anywhere. Except, you can still remove it, put it in another shoe, and it'll last just as long! :) I also like that it is nearly invisible when you wear open shoes, like a sandal. The heel probably has the least amount of cushioning, and it focuses more on the ball and arch of the foot.

I wore these many times in my sandals, for short times and for hour long durations. I'm not sure that it's because I'm flat footed and have no need for arch support, but these made my legs, feet, and back hurt like hell. I'm pretty sure they knocked my alignment out of place after wearing them all week. It was a horrible pain, lemme just tell you! So, I'll be passing these on to my arch-having, heel-wearing mother haha.

The beauty of these is there IS a money back guarantee. So, if you were to run into issues like I did - you're covered!

Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics ~ $3.99

Yoga ties!!!!!!! You guys know I love them! Haha yoga ties had become a big topic of interest after my last Vox Box review where I showed how I manage my wavy hair. I did write a review about my favorite yoga hair ties, here.

This is my every day summer hair do and a strong hair tie is a must need for my patience haha:

My I hate summer because my hair is a wool blanket hair
How I use yoga hair ties. If you want a "how to" of how I
put my hair up haha you can find it here. There's really no method though.

How do these measure up? Well, I've been using them for about a week now; more specifically I've been using the same one for a week now.

I found that they aren't half bad! Their longevity after being stretched X amount of times is pretty impressive. My Lizzie Star ones last longer, but in comparison to one from Birchbox, Julep, and other "makers" - this is a LOT better. It doesn't seem to have as great of a hold as the Lizzie Star hair ties do however. With hers I can sleep, run, live without putting my hair up again and again. With Lizzie Stars', MAYBE once a day, when I wake up. With these it was a constant battle haha. If it wasn't square on the top of my head, I found myself redoing it 4-5x throughout the day. Even when I wore a ponytail, I ran into the same issue. I don't find these too horrible, but they're not my favorite. I would still use them over regular elastics though.

Sinful Colors SinfulShine All the Rage ~ $2.99

Sinful Colors SinfulShine has created some buzz around Lacquer Land. For those who don't know: SinfulShine is a Walgreens exclusive, limited edition line, that is meant to have a gel like finish to it.

Sinful Colors SinfulShine All the Rage ~ $2.99

The color I recieved is called All the Rage, it's a hot pink creme with a little bit of shimmer upon inspection.

Sinful Colors SinfulShine All the Rage ~ $2.99
Sinful Colors SinfulShine All the Rage ~ $2.99
Sinful Colors SinfulShine All the Rage ~ $2.99
Sinful Colors SinfulShine All the Rage ~ $2.99

Can I just say something honestly? I don't get the point of polishes with "gel finishes", yeah... They look shiny but they are missing the protective top coat! The only "gel finish" polish I've had a successful non-top coat run with is the Revlon Colorstay line. With this one I found a chip or 2 within a day without top coat. WHOMP WHOMP WHOMP.

While I'm not impressed by the wear, I do enjoy the colors. I have 2 other SinfulShine polishes and I love their colors! There are a few that are dupes for Sinful Colors colors, I suggest Googling, but there are a few unique ones.

The application, I find, is to be a little thicker than regular Sinful Colors polishes. Not unmanageable or difficult my any means, but not as thin as their regular line. I did 2 coats and it dried in okay time, I feel regular Sinful Color polishes dry faster.

If you're on the fence about trying these, I say give them a go! For $2.99 that ain't half bad for a polish. Personally, I'd just add a top coat hahah ;)

Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream (light to medium) ~ $14.99

Last but not least is the Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream! I've mentioned I have a BB cream comparison in the works, so this will be in there in the future. But for now, this baby is solo!

Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream (light to medium) ~ $14.99
Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream (light to medium) ~ $14.99
Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream (light to medium) ~ $14.99

I must say, I was rather impressed by this. I've been looking for another BB cream I try and I was happy this one showed up on my doorstep.

Until now, Garnier's BB cream has been my favorite. However, I was looking for something with a TADDDDDD less coverage. While Garnier's isn't a full coverage BB, it's close to it. This one seems to be just a step below, which I like! I find myself having to apply blush after the Garnier so I don't look like my face is entirely one color hahahaha. This one I don't find I have to use blush, it evens my skin tone out and covers my red spots without looking like someone slapped paint/foundation across my face. It has just enough coverage to fix the problems without being a full coverage foundation-like BB cream.

The smell is also rather refreshing! It has a clean, fresh (Fresh Effects, duh Lacey.) smell to it! Not sure what the benefit of that is lmfao but its cool.

I hope you enjoyed this review of these products. I was overall pleased with all of them, aside from the insoles.

  2. I don't know how you make the yoga ties work, tbh. I have a similar amount of hair to yours, and the ones I bought after reading your review just did not cut it, lol. They definitely didn't stretch as much as regular ties do, but they were not up to the task of holding up my hair. You must have magic hair if they stay in nicely for you!
