MAKEUP YOUR FACE: Johnny Depp Movies Inspired Collection [Part 2]

Pin It So, if you are on my Facebook, you know I had an awesome stamping manicure planned... SAD PART? My Eczema decided to wreck havoc on 2 of my fingers over night and now they're ugly (please forgive me if they look a little red here...) :[ haha I guess that gives me time to get the design down perfectly and I got new colors I'd like to try it with BUT I wish I could share it with you! So instead...

Makeup Your Face Demon Barber of Fleet Street and How's Mama

Part 2 of the Johnny Depp Movie Inspired Collection by Makeup Your Face! Again, if you're a Johnny Depp fan, you'll love these! OR... I guess if you love unique mixes (like me), you'll love these, too!

These are the last 2 (out of 5) polishes in the Johnny Depp Collection I have to swatch, here are some close ups:

Now onto the swatches! Tell me which one's your fave!

Out of all the Johnny Depp polishes this one and We're Out of Rum strikes me to be the most unique out of the group. Demon Barber of Fleet Street was inspired by the movie Sweeney Todd! In this polish you can find "black and white slivers with silver shreds in a blood red base". It is possible to build this up on it's own in a few coats (about 3) and, if you do there is also some pretty red shimmer in the base!

You know what I love about this? The fact that IF you wanted to make this a bloody Halloween polish, you can! AND if you want to make this a shimmery, spunky, holiday polish- you can do that, too! I did 2 coats of Demon Barber of Fleet Street over Sinful Colors Hot Hot Heat. I did one coat of Seche Vite but, I recommend going for 2, mostly due to bar glitter. Again, again - no application issues and the glitter coverage was great. No complaints from me at all with this baby!

So if you're a Depp fan, or a movie buff, you might kill me haha. I haven't seen either of the movies these polishes were inspired by :[ This purple glitter top coat was inspired by What's Eating Gilbert Grape. In Here's Mama there are "different shades and sizes of purple hexagons, purple sqaures and purple shreds surrounded by purple micro glitter".

I did 2 coats of How's Mama over Ulta Celebutante. I really do like the mix of glitter in this, who knew a single color glitter mix could be so diverse! Makes me think of grape Laffy Taffy LOL! The application was great as usual, no "dip and dab" and great cover. I did 1 coat of Seche Vite but, like the other polish above, I'd go for 2 coats - it was kind of thirsty after 1.

  1. I've only seen Sweeney Todd, and that polish is perfect for it! Both look great.

  2. I got all excited for Demon Barber (hubby loves that movie), but... I dunno. It's cool looking, but something about it is maybe a bit too erratic for me? *shrugs* Great swatches anyways. lol
