Forget Me Not Friday - NERD LACQUER: Don't Panic

Nerd Lacquer Don't Panic

Hey there! Today's Forget Me Not Friday is a Nerd Lacquer I grabbed from a blog sale a few months back, Don't Panic. I love green polish and green glitter and I've lusted this after polish for awhile :P Can't wait to share it with you below!n

Nerd Lacquer Don't Panic over Sinful Colors Pistache
Nerd Lacquer Don't Panic over Sinful Colors Pistache
Nerd Lacquer Don't Panic over Sinful Colors Pistache

Nerd Lacquer Don't Panic is a "brilliant clover green base with emerald and grass green glitter, plus a sprinkling of holographic sparkle". If you like green, this is great for you! The base is a little too sheer for me to deal with layering, so I layered it over Sinful Colors Pistache (previously swatched here!). The teenie tiny glitters are my favorite. Look at that macro - so much green glittery fun!

I did 2 coats of Don't Panic over a pair of light green undies. I think it would take quite a few coats to build up, I'm not about that. Bet this also would look amazing over a dark green! Application didn't give me any issues. After a few shakes, glitter coverage per coat was great. Dry time was great also. No issues for me! :)

I'd link you to Nerd Lacquer's social media... but I don't want to encourage my readers to purchase from her directly. I'm sorry to say there have been TONS of issues with ordering from her. (I'm sure you could Google the whole ordeal) I haven't purchased from her in well over a year. Your best bet for finding Nerd Lacquer is blog sales/Storenvy (where I grabbed this one).

Happy FRIYAY!
I purchased this with my own money.

Forget Me Not Friday - NUBAR: Reclaim

The elusive Nubar Reclaim

Once upon a time Nubar released a polish called Reclaim. Sadly, when Lacey discovered it... She learned it was released in 2009 and was later discontinued (naturally...). DUN DUN DUN. After browsing blog sales for a year-ish and giving up on and off, she remembered eBay existed! So she searched eBay for awhile and a bottle never surfaced. One day, she got the bright idea, "set up a listing notification"! A few months later, a $13 bottle of Nubar Reclaim at "By It Now" surfaced. HUZZAH! Reclaim was finally Lacey's! She was blessed with the holographic green polish awesomeness in Fall of 2014 and just remembered she owned it. Way to go, Lacey, way to go.

Check out swatches of Nubar Reclaim after the jump lmfao.

Forget Me Not Friday - CHINA GLAZE: Point Me to the Party

China Glaze Point Me to the Party

It's been a minute since I dug into my bin of untrieds to share with ya'll! ;] Today, I have a glitter topper from China Glaze's latest collection, Summer 2015 Electric Nights. This collection was filled with amazing, neon awesomeness and this is one polish I couldn't pass up. And The Beauty Clutch was nice enough to send me Point Me to the Party as a gift! Check it out!

China Glaze Point Me to the Party over Wet n Wild Megalast Coast to Coast
China Glaze Point Me to the Party over Wet n Wild Megalast Coast to Coast
China Glaze Point Me to the Party over Wet n Wild Megalast Coast to Coast

Point Me to the Party is a glitter topper with: "Neon green, orange, pink, purple, and blue matte multi-sized glitter" in a clear base. I know this polish has an indie vibe to it, and that's totally okay with me. This glitter topper is so much fun and so versatile. Neon glitter is a great way to spice up any mani, if I do say so myself.

I did 2 coats of Point Me to the Party. The application was easy to work with and had decent glitter coverage. I feel like it could of had more glitter because it was a little on the base-y side, which can affect dry time. I'd recommend waiting between coats, especially if you're a heavy coater.

Forget Me Not Friday - SINFUL COLORS SINFULSHINE: Prosecco

SinfulShine Prosecco

Hello, hello! It's finally FRIDAY, so here we are with another round of Forget Me Not Friday. This week's contender is Sinful Colors SinfulShine Prosecco. If you hang out around Instagram, you know this polish was a BIG deal last fall. Naturally, when people make a big deal out of things on Instagram... I have to buy them. SO let's see if this was worth the hype?

SinfulShine Prosecco
SinfulShine Prosecco
SinfulShine Prosecco

Prosecco is a light taupe creme with tiny iridescent gold flakies. I feel like this could be related to Zoya Jules, which I blog sale-d because I hated how it looked on me LOL! BUT for some reason I like this on me more than Jules, I think because it isn't as metallic. Prosecco is nice soft shade with that gorgeous flakie shimmer. You can't deny that this polish is pretty, don't even lie to yourself ;]

I did 3 coats of Prosecco. It built up nicely but still seemed kind-of-sort-of patch, my poor pinky nail. Thankfully, it wasn't super apparent. I was shocked by the dry time. 90% of the time when I use SinfulShine polishes the dry time is awful. However, Prosecco had an awesome dry time which made building it up worthwhile.

I admit it: #worththehype

POLISH INFORMATIONBrand: Sinful Colors

You might have seen the Prosecco hype last fall. Everyone on Instagram was scrambling and buying as many of these gosh darn polishes they could get their polished hands on. Besides this polish being gorgeous, people were scrambling because Sinful Colors has killed the SinfulShine line... Understandable, that line (IMHO) sucked.

Dropped the polish info to just their links since the prices/locations aren't relevant anymore haha. If you're in search of Prosecco, or any other SinfulShine polishes for that matter, your best bet is either blog sales or Big Lots (Where Sinful Colors go to die lmao).

Happy Friday!
I bought this myself. Is that good enough for you, Federal Trade Commission?

Forget Me Not Friday - SQUAREHUE: Ala Moana & L'OREAL: The Sparklicious

SquareHue (L) Ala Moana and L'Oreal The Sparklicious (R)

First and foremost: HAPPY (forget me not) FRIDAY! Second, Thanks Blogger for deleting this post when I was about to post it haha *sigh* Today I have 2 polishes up for review out of my box of untrieds. A Magic Top Coat From L'oreal and a blue polish from SquareHue. Check 'em out below!

SquareHue Ala Moana
SquareHue Ala Moana
SquareHue Ala Moana

Ala Moana is a dusty medium blue creme with some pearly white shimmer. This is a nice polish in the bottle, but I don't feel like this blue was perfect for my skin color. It brought out a lot of red in my skin in real life. It might be better with stamping over it though :P

I did 4, FOUR, coats of Ala Moana. This polish seemed opaque but the formula was SO thin. Luckily, it was easy to build up and had a quick dry time so it wasn't a disaster haha.

L'Oreal The Sparklicious Magic Top Coat over SquareHue Ala Moana
L'Oreal The Sparklicious Magic Top Coat over SquareHue Ala Moana

Topping Ala Moana is The Sparklicious from L'Oreal's The Magic Top Coats line. I remember grabbing this in the Fall of 2013 during my move LOL. It's traveled with me quite a bit :P The Sparklicious is a top coat with black and silver glitter and holographic silver bars. Simple glitter mix but fun. ALSO - the bars were flat on the nail *phew*

I did 2 coats-ish of The Sparklicious. The first coat was NOTHING but base... this polish could use a little bit more glitter in it to be honest. The 2nd coat was after twirling the crap out of the brush in the bottle. *sigh* I wanted a glitter top coat, not a clear top coat, L'Oreal. At least the dry time was great.

Sorry these polishes are probably unattainable, besides blog sales and the eBay, but I hope you enjoyed taking a look at these brands! I feel like this week was a miss... but then again not ever untried is perfect.

Have a great day,
I won/bought this myself. Is that good enough for you, Federal Trade Commission?

Forget Me Not Friday: KBSHIMMER - Don't Teal Anyone

KBShimmer Don't Teal Anyone

It's once again, Forget Me Not Friday! And the polish I didn't forget about is KBShimmer Don't Teal Anyone. I wanted this polish ever since it came out... like 2012? (Which is the last time I reviewed a KBShimmer on here) I believe it's discontinued now, but I finally can swatch it after buying it sometime last year hahahhaha check it out below!

KBShimmer Don't Teal Anyone
KBShimmer Don't Teal Anyone
KBShimmer Don't Teal Anyone

Don't Teal Anyone is a "deep teal base with, gold, teal blue, and fuchsia hexes in several sizes, and micro fuchsia bars". It is perfection *cries*. The base is such a gorgeous dark teal-y green and the glitter colors compliment the base perfectly. Almost peacock-y.

I did 3 coats of Don't Teal Anyone. I was kind of iffy about how many coats this would be because the first one was quite sheer. It ended up building up nicely, happy Lacey. No issues to report with dry time, it was great.

And there it is! The first swatch since 2012 LOL. I really like this polish, the base color is amazing and the glitter just makes it just a little bit more awesome. What's your favorite KBShimmer polish?

Have a great weekend :]
I bought this myself. Is that good enough for you, Federal Trade Commission?

Forget Me Not Friday: HARE POLISH - Down the West Coast

Hare Polish Down the West Coast

CONGRATULATIONS! You made it to Friday! :P It's once again, Forget Me Not Friday - the post where I grab something out of my never ending basket of untrieds haha. This week I have Hare Polish Down the West Coast to share with you. It's been a few months since I swatched a Hare, so lets' chance that haha. Check it out down below!

Hare Polish Down the West Coast
Hare Polish Down the West Coast
Hare Polish Down the West Coast

This polish is from the VIVA LOS ANGELES Collection from last year. Down the West Coast is a "rosy pink jelly with more of a 'marbled' effect", it also has "blue flakies, gold flakies & gold shimmer!"  Marble and granite is exactly what I thought of! My husband has a bowling ball that has this same kind of effect to it. While the glitter is obviously suspended in the base, they are nearly one when it comes to this polish. I don't find this polish to be a jelly... more of a crelly.

I did 3 coats of Down the West Coast. Although the polish is packed with tons of flakies, it had a nice smooth application. It was easy to work with and gave me no issues. Dry time was great and very quick. I had to head out the door right after I swatched it, no time for Seche Vite, and I didn't even mess it up :P

Price: Full Sized $10

So there you have it! I thought this polish was very unique and fun without punching you in the face. I really liked the "marbled" effect with the flakies. What do you think? :]

Have a good one,
I bought this myself. Is that good enough for you, Federal Trade Commission?
