Weekend Nail Art Binge

Pin It If you follow me on Facebook, you know on Monday I was whining about not doing some nail art since the Christmas challenge I did. And if you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen these because I can't keep good things to myself lmao

So, these are some nail art designs I did between today and yesterday.

How this manicure was done was... by me trying to do a basic beehive design. Long story short, I can't draw (polish or pen) hexagon to save my life... let alone more than one! So, what I ended up doing was taking my crappy beehive design, outlined it and added 10 million lines. I like how it came out! :] I used Zoya Jacqueline as the base and China Glaze Hey Sailor for the lines. Can you see my ugly squished hexagons? -.-

Next, I decided to stamp a little. I haven't stamped in awhile either! I really like this design because it looks like water marble goodness... without the 700 million failed attempts by me haha I used Butter London Blagger for the base, China Glaze Happy Go Lucky to stamp with, some holo gold hexes and Cheeky XL plate C for the stamp. Fun times! Here's a close up of the plate:

Last but not least, is new (to me) technique I saw on Smashley Sparkles' blog last week (hers is a lot nicer than mine haha)! I decided to give it a shot. I linked her post above but essentially it's layers of polish, a little acetone, and a brush. I really liked how it turned out. I was kind of iffy about it, but it looked a TON a TON better after I added top coat! I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White, China Glaze Shower Together and Zoya Mira. (I highly recommend 1 coaters and a top coat between layers if you try this technique)

Hope you enjoyed my weekend nail art binge haha I wasn't going to post it on here, but I felt compelled to share!

See you tomorrow for the giveaway list!

  1. I don't think your hexs look squished, in fact I think they turned out beautifully! The stamping you used in your second photo is beautiful as well with the colors you used. I've never done an acid wash design yet, it looks easy though.
