CBD Living CBD Bath Salts 500mg in Relaxing Lavender,
Zenful Amber Bergamont, Soothing Eucalyptus, and Refreshing Coconut Lime

I was sent 4 CBD Bath Salts from CBD Living to share with y'all. CBD Living is a cannabidiol manufacturer and distributor, one of the fastest growing globally. They offer many CBD items: bath salts, gummies, chocolates, tinctures, vapes, topicals and more. I was excited to try CBD Living's Bath Salts as I have tried their tinctures (unflavored, candy cane, and pumpkin spice latte) and I'm a big fan of the quality and price. Check out more about their bath salts after the jump.

Holiday Snow Nail Art

Holiday Snow Nail Art

I haven't been able to get the idea of a sponged on snow "French manicure" layered with a ton of different glitters out of my head, so I finally did it. I really wasn't feeling green or red this year for some reason. I can't decide if this looks like a magical, sparkling snow day (I've never had a snow day soooo I'm just guessing here LOL) or a pretty, glittery snow globe!

Macro Shot: Holiday Snow Nail Art

I applied a light base coat of Finger Paints Sparkle Top Coat (a super oldie but a goodie iridescent micro glitter in a clear base) and then lightly sponged on the "tips" with Zoya Snow White. I actually ran out of makeup sponges I used for nail art after 8 years, so I reached for a regular 'ol dish sponge. I think the pore size of the dish sponge actually made it look more like snow than a makeup sponge would have created, which is more apt for a more solid nail art look. I think the dish sponge created the light and fluffy look I was going for.

Next, I haphazardly and lightly layered on scattered silver holographic top coat: Hungry Asian Dream Car. Then I layered on Essie As Gold As It Gets (a clear base packed with small gold flakies, I highly recommend this polish if you can still get your hands on it!) followed by Zoya Dallas ("clear base with silver glitter, large white hexagonal glitter, and small white glitter running throughout").

I think the combo of all those glitter toppers makes it JUST busy enough to make it visually interesting without being over the top. This nail art idea also looked great without the glitter top coats too.

Happy Holidays, y'all!

ESSIE: Blue-tiful Horizon

Essie Blue-tiful Horizon

So a few weeks ago I was randomly catching up on Essie. Not entirely sure what compelled me to do that haha but I discovered this amazing nail polish. After some confusing investigation that went like this: OMFG WHAT IS THAT POLISH?! Oh, Not available in the US,  it is available in the US, damn... available in Canada only sooo not available in the US, HOLD THE PHONE - WHATTTT IT'S ON AMAZON with PRIMMMMEEE?!

Still not really sure the status of this collection/polish but it's on Amazon (and apparently at Target, Walgreens, and the Black Market aka eBay) and I was able to buy it, that's honestly all I care about right now haha. Please check it out after the jump because I really want to share it with you.

GUEST POST: Tia from Iced Lacquer: Essie Stripe Nail Art

Hi Lace & Lacquer readers! While Lacey is moving I'm going to be helping out by doing some guest posting for her! If you've never read my blog before my name is Tia and I run Iced Lacquer. Since the holidays are quickly approaching (oh man, Thanksgiving is THIS WEEK!) I thought it would be fun to do a look that is just a tiny bit festive. I also wanted to do something a little bit more fun than my usual swatch photos. Let's get to it!

For this stripey look I was totally inspired by a post from Globe & Nail, which she actually posted right around this time last year! I am not great with striping tape, but I really like how she made the sections irregularly spaced. It meant I didn't have to panic when my sections weren't perfectly even as I put down pieces of striping tape.

I had three recent Essie purchases sitting on my desk and thought they seemed pretty fitting! I started with two coats of the nude/tan "Take It Outside" and painted on my stripes with "Bahama Mama" and "The Perfect Cover Up."

Pictured from left to right these are "Take It Outside," "The Perfect Cover Up," and "Bahama Mama."

I goofed up in a couple of spots, but overall I'm pretty happy with this look! It kind of reminds me of a Christmas scarf lol! I like how the stripe colors are tones of red and green, which totally make me think of Christmas, but aren't super traditional true red and green shades. It's a bit more muted and subtle, especially when I look at it from a distance.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this look and my guest post! You can find me on most social media sites as Iced Lacquer, but I'm most active on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I also co-host a podcast with my friend Courtney called Nail Newscast if you're into those! ;)

Thanks for having me, Lacey! And thanks for reading!

Love,

AND TIA!

I have a bunch of screenshots of manicures I'd like to replicate or tutorials I plan attempt one day. I tried to do my horror themed nail art from "the list" but, I failed and I got frustrated haha. 10/31 Go Pink Wednesday: Pink Gradient Nails

Pin It NOOOOO! It's our last Go Pink Wednesday together :[ As much as I hate pink haha, this was a fun project to do and I hope we did something good in our little (not so little) community or beyond!

A final thank you to Andrea of Finger Painting Fingers for putting together Go Pink Wednesday! I'm glad I was asked to participate these past 5 weeks. It's fun seeing what the other bloggers came up with :]

Go Pink Wedensday
If you followed my Go Pink Wednesday posts (If you haven't, check them out here!). As I do every Go Pink Wednesday post, breast cancer facts. Since this is the last post and all my facts have been mainly about women, these facts will be about the men. Although mens' risk for breast cancer is quite low, it is very possible. You must read themmmmmmm or else I'll come find you and MAKE you read them! ;]

1) "Breast cancer risk in men is increased by elevated levels of estrogen, previous radiation exposure, and a family history of breast cancer". Medicenenet

2) "In 2012, it is estimated that among U.S. men there will be: 2,190 new cases of breast cancer 410 breast cancer deaths". komen.org

3) "In men, breast cancer can happen at any age, but is most common in men who are between 60 and 70 years old". CDC.gov

So, feel your man's boobs! Ok. that's awkward... YAY MANICURE TIME! :|

More pictures and such after le jump!

10/10 Go Pink Wednesday: Fight Like a Girl

Pin It Are you guys ready for  another installment of Go Pink Wednesday?! I AM! If you saw this already, it's because I shared it on Instagram after I accidentally blew the surprise hahaha... Either way I'm excited to finally post this manicure :]

Go Pink Wedensday

Again, Thanks to Finger Painting Fingers for forming a great way for the nail polish community to spread awareness of breast cancer! Here are your three facts about breast cancer, remember: you must read them before you read on to the manicure deets ;] October 10th's facts:

1) "Women should have a clinical breast exam at least every 3 years between the ages of 20 and 39 and every year starting at age 40". Komen.org
2)  "Most women have more than one known risk factor for breast cancer, yet will never get the disease". Komen.org
3) "More than 1.7 million women who have had breast cancer are still alive in the United States". About.com

I hope you enjoy this manicure as much as I did! I thought it was an awesome depiction of the phrase "fight like a girl". More after the jump!

10/3 Go Pink Wednesday: Save the Ta-tas

Pin It As you may (or may not) know a group of bloggers have come together to dedicate our Wednesday posts in October to breast cancer awareness. Despite pink being my least favorite color haha, I am all for spreading awareness and support for breast cancer. Thanks to Finger Painting Fingers for forming a great way for the nail polish community to spread awareness!

Go Pink Wedensday

I'm going to have 3 facts about breast cancer in every Go Pink Wednesday post. Here are October 3rd's facts:
1) "Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women". National Breast Cancer
2) "Only 5% to 10% of breast cancers occur in women with a defined genetic predisposition for the disease. The majority of breast cancer cases are "sporadic," meaning there is no direct family history of the disease". Web MD
3) "The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2012, about 226,870 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer". Web MD

I hope you read those facts! (If you didn't, go read them! That's a demand btw haha) Now that you've educated yourself, on to manicure pictures and a short support ribbon tutorial!
