Maisie Shine Swatches & Reviews

Pin It Today I have for you guys a quad of beautiful indie polishes by Maisie Shine!

Maisie Shine Polishes, TOP: Fantasia, Orion's Belt. BOTTOM: Powder Puff, Magic Carpet Ride

Maisie Shine has recently popped up on Facebook and Etsy for me, and once I saw some bottle shots I KNEW I had to try them! Swatches and reviews after the jump for you ladies! [Warning, slighhhhhtttlllyyy picture heavy haha]

TOP: Fantasia, Orion's Belt. BOTTOM: Powder Puff, Magic Carpet Ride

There's a nice bottle shot for y'all. You can see all these have tons of pretty glitter floating around!

First up is Fantasia:

Fantasia is a beautiful royal blue jelly with silver micro-glitter and some square silver glitter mixed in. Super easy way to make a jelly sammich! This was 2 coats, I can still see my nail line a little bit, but I have a feeling a coat or 2 of a white polish will take care of that! This blue is so SO gorgeous and so squishy looking, very similar to Revlon Royal.

I didn't have any application issues and everything went on smoothly, drying time was average (being a jelly), and I wish the silver squares were easier to get to (leaving the bottle upside down for a bit helped).

Next is Orion's Belt:

This one is a stunner! And PS: how awesome is this polish name?! Large gold hex glitter, gold square glitter, silver smaller hex glitter, in a very shimmery dark green base! I'm biased though... greens are my favorite polishes haha. This one has TONS of glitter and has great coverage! This was 2 coats and was good on dry time and application. It did look a little rough once it was dry but Seche took care of that! :]

As much as I DON'T want to do this... I have to:
Sugar, spice, and everything nice
These were the ingredients chosen
To create the perfect little girls
But Professor Utonium accidentally
Added an extra ingredients to the concoction-- Chemical X
Thus, The Powerpuff Girls were born
Using their ultra-super powers
Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup
Have dedicated their lives to fighting crime
And the forces of evil

;] So Powder Puff is a mix of large white hex, smaller white hex, even more smaller white glitter, iridescent hex all in a shimmery base! WHEW! But srsly guise. This is pretty. This has great glitter coverage, I only used 1 coat above! When I saw this polish online I didn't even know that there was iridescent glitter in it - great surprise :] Goes on smooth and dries fast! What more could ya want?

Last but not least is Magic Carpet Ride:

Once I saw this polish posted on Maisie Shine's Facebook, I knew I HAD to own some of these polishes. This one sealed the deal. This one has the most glitter out of all the polishes above! TONNNS of  turqioise hex and square glitter with purple smaller glitter in a shimmery base. This purple and turquoise color combo is officially the bomb.com in my book. The base dries slightly matte, and the polish dries a little lumpy - but is easily smoothed by Seche Vite. This also has the best dry time out of the polishes in this post. Such a great color! AHH!

I hope you enjoyed my swatches and thoughts on these Maisie Shine polishes! See any "must haves"??

You can find more information about this indie brand via Facebook (go show her page some love, she deserves more than 77 likes!), or visit Lindsey's shop on Etsy! Her polishes are $9/bottle.

Until tomorrow,
