ESSIE: Blue Rhapsody and Stroke of Brilliance (And Zoya Goldie)

Pin It I'm glad y'all liked my mermaid inspired manicure yesterday! Today I have the base colors I painted over :]

Click on over and see more swatches of Blue Rhapsody and what I layered Stroke of Brilliance over :]

I got Essie Stroke of Brilliance from the super sweet Polish Monster in a swap! I also just got Set in Stones from a penny Copious deal - now I have the entire Luxeffects Collection :D YAY! If you're familiar with the pink and silver chunky glitter from the Luxeffects collection, Stroke of Brilliance is the same sort of glitter :] Here's a comparison:

And here are my swatches of the gorgeous Essie Blue Rhapsody:

Essie Blue Rhapsody

Essie Blue Rhapsody part of Essie's new Mirror Metallics Collection and is best described as an blue foil polish. I love this blue! I provided a few pictures because it changes in the light. This polish really has a ton of shine to it, a great metallic foil! I did 2 coats. The first coat was pretty smooth but I didn't find the 2nd to be as smooth. I would apply a base coat before applying this to give a little "cushion", this polish will show any imperfection you have in your nail.

Here's some swatches of Essie Stroke of Brilliance:

Ahhh SO in love with this glitter top coat! I did 1 coat over the swatches above. The blue of the glitter is SLIGHTLY darker than Blue Rhapsody and is a mix of medium hex and small hex (like Set in Stones and A Cut Above). So much fun in a bottle! I have lots of plans for this glitter :]

You can find both of these in stores right now, I have seen them both at Walgreens :]

Until tomorrow,
Lacey
